Thermoforming is a method of manufacturing plastic parts by preheating a flat sheet of plastic, and then bringing it into contact with a mould whose shape it takes. This can be done by vacuum, pressure and or direct mechanical force. The process offers close tolerances, tight specifications, and sharp detail.
VMT Ecopacks thermoform design and tooling engineers are capable of turning concepts  to CAD/Solid Works design and then our expert thermoform tool makers are capable of quickly producing a quality prototype and production tool for thermoforming.

Dunnage or WIP Trays
Dunnage / work-in-process trays are designed to effectively protect and transport your products. These trays offer you an ideal solution to safely move products and components from location to location in your facility or to your end customer safely and damage free. Dunnage trays can also be designed to be used and loaded robotically.
 
Insert Trays
Insert trays are designed to hold a variety of products within an outer container, such as a box or Ecopack. These thermoformed trays, which are commonly used in retail applications, are the ideal solution to hold many different-sized parts within one outer container thereby reducing SKU's.

Thermoforming Bi-Fold clam Packaging
These custom thermoforming clamshells are designed so your retail clients have a way to merchandise your product by hanging it on a peg wall, standing it on a shelf, or sitting it in a display. The three part design typically includes a triangular base that allows the clamshell to stand upright on a shelf. All Bi-Fold clamshells are made from the same crystal clear PVC material as standard plastic clamshells. Working with you, we design the clamshell packaging, build the production tooling, and ship the product on time at a competitive price.

Thermoforming Tray Packaging
A tray is a multi-cavity product thermoformed from plastic. They have many different functions from stand alone store displays to assembly part carriers. Trays can be designed with lids, snap devices or stacking features, whichever best fits the functionality of your part or product. These trays are custom designed and engineered for your product. With quick turn around on prototypes, in house tool design/manufacturing and short lead times, VMT Ecopack can produce a custom tray in a very short time to get your product to the stores.
